We recommend all footwear is tried on at home on carpet, to ensure a proper fit, and prevent any outsole wear. Boots that are in new, resalable condition can be returned with receipts for refund or exchange within 180 days, after 180 days, store credit only will be applied. As soon as you return your item to us and it's received in our system, we will expeditiously send a refund request to your bank. Please note that while the funds are instantly deducted from our account, some banks are taking as long as a week to process and post these refunds to their customers' accounts.
Exchanges
You have two options: For a speedy exchange, you can reorder online or by phone the new size of boots that you need, and return the unworn pair of boots to our return mail order address on the Contact Us page with a note stating you have ordered another size, and would like a credit put back on your credit card. Or you can just simply send the boots back with a note explaining the type of exchange you'd like done, and we'll reorder the new boots when we receive the boots being returned.

Product Defects
Please call our toll free number 888-844-9199, and we can discuss your options. Boots that are possibly defective will be returned to the manufacturer's quality control dept. for examination. Please clean up any dirty boots and renew as good as possible. Dirty boots will be refused by Vanderbilts.com and the manufacturer. Below is the return schedule from date of purchase and credit policy for footwear that is found to be defective.
0-45 days = 100%
46-90 days = 75%
91-135 days = 50%
136-180 days = 25%
Footwear found to have abusive sole and upper treatment may not be returned for any reason. A register receipt must accompany all returns.
